ABOUT INERTIA RAW DENIM JEANS
WHAT IS RAW DENIM?
Raw denim is denim that hasn't been washed or treated after dyeing and weaving. Most denim you buy has already been through some kind of wash process. For example stone washing, acid washing, sanding, whiskering to soften it, fade it, or give it a worn-in look before it ever reaches you.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MINE?
Like leather, raw denim is made to be maintained rather than laundered on a normal clothing cycle. Avoid washing them for at least the first 6 months. This gives the denim time to mould to your body.
To stretch the time between washes, you can freeze your jeans overnight in a sealed bag, which removes bacteria and odours. For marks or spills, a damp cloth is usually enough.
HOW LONG TO 'BREAK THEM IN'?
Breaking in raw denim is really just about wearing them consistently and allowing your body to do the shaping. The first few weeks are the stiffest, but with regular flexing most people find their jeans go from stiff to comfortable by weeks 2-3 as the fabric fibres relax and mould to your movement patterns.
how does the laser printing work?
The laser machine uses heat to remove indigo dye from denim, creating detailed designs without harsh chemicals or water. Laser finishing does fade over time, this is part of the evolution of your denim. Wash less frequently to preserve the intensity of the design.
