Each piece is unisex fit and made to order. Please note orders may take up to 2-3 weeks to make, plus shipping time.

Trade your lustful dopamine purchase for delayed gratification and lasting love.

Please note: As garments are made to your size, there are no refunds for change of mind. Please read the care instructions and size guide before purchasing.

Material + Finish

Made in London from 100% cotton dead-stock un-used raw denim.

Similar to when you first buy a pair of Doc Martens, raw denim starts out stiff and dark and is designed to be worn in and shape to your body over time.

Each garment is re-worked from existing jeans. Minor quirks and character marks are to be expected, and welcomed.

Laser-printed through Laundre™, reworked by SAMEK.

Care + Maintenance

EARN YOUR WEAR

This capsule is made from raw, untreated denim.

Raw Denim functions best when it isn't laundered for at least 6 months. In addition to preserving the vibrancy of the design, this allows the denim to soften, fade and mould naturally to your body as you move through the world.

No two pairs will wear in the same way. They are designed to evolve with you through your phases of life.

We encourage all customers to understand how raw denim works before purchasing. Learn more about how to care for yours below.

Size + Fit

All SAMEK denim is made-to-order. This process allows us to mitigate unnecessary waste, tailor the fit to your sizing, and keep our processes in congruence with the earth's rhythm.

Please note: These jeans are upcycled from two pairs of reclaimed dead-stock denim with limited sizing. Although designed as a baggy fit, fixed elements of the jeans mean that the jeans will sit differently on each individual body, and may not suit all sizes.

If you have a fuller figure or have struggled to find jeans that fit, please include additional measurements (your rise, inseam and low hip) in the comments of your order, or reach out to us with sizing questions at info@samekstudio.com and we will do our best to accomodate where possible.

We encourage all customers to measure themselves before purchasing. If you need support on how to measure yourself, see the guide below.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WAIST

Inertia denim is designed to sit at your high hip. This is roughly 5cm below your belly button, where your hips start to curve away from your torso. Wrap the tape around this point, level and parallel to the floor.

If you're wearing trousers wrap the tape snug around them, don't wear anything too thick as it will distort the measurement.

If you're measuring straight onto skin, leave a finger's width of space between the tape and your body.

*If you're between sizes choose the size up, and add your true measurement in your check out notes.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR LENGTH

Stand straight, without shoes.

Locate your high hip - the point where you measured for sizing.

Hold the tape at this point. Measure straight down the outside of your leg to just 2cm off the floor. This is where the jeans are designed to sit, and will sit higher off the ground with shoes.

Don't bend over to read the tape, this can shift it and throw off your measurement.

Having a friend help you with this is ideal, alternatively you can do this in front of a floor length mirror and read the measurement from the mirror.

If all else fails simply astral project your consciousness outside of your body to read the measurement.

*If you're between sizes choose the size up, and add your true measurement in your check out notes.

ABOUT INERTIA RAW DENIM JEANS

WHAT IS RAW DENIM?

Raw denim is denim that hasn't been washed or treated after dyeing and weaving. Most denim you buy has already been through some kind of wash process. For example stone washing, acid washing, sanding, whiskering to soften it, fade it, or give it a worn-in look before it ever reaches you.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MINE?

Like leather, raw denim is made to be maintained rather than laundered on a normal clothing cycle. Avoid washing them for at least the first 6 months. This gives the denim time to mould to your body.

To stretch the time between washes, you can freeze your jeans overnight in a sealed bag, which removes bacteria and odours. For marks or spills, a damp cloth is usually enough.

HOW LONG TO 'BREAK THEM IN'?

Breaking in raw denim is really just about wearing them consistently and allowing your body to do the shaping. The first few weeks are the stiffest, but with regular flexing most people find their jeans go from stiff to comfortable by weeks 2-3 as the fabric fibres relax and mould to your movement patterns.

how does the laser printing work?

The laser machine uses heat to remove indigo dye from denim, creating detailed designs without harsh chemicals or water. Laser finishing does fade over time, this is part of the evolution of your denim. Wash less frequently to preserve the intensity of the design.
