LAUNDRE x SAMEK

2025 - CURRENT

LaundRe is the UK's first tech-enabled sustainable denim hub, allowing brands to finish jeans on-shore with low-impact processes to reduce waste and recapture value. Shortly after receiving a tour of the Canning Town facility and falling in love with the process, the denim, and the team, SAMEK's first artist residency began – by telling the brand's story through the co-created 'Ripple Effect’ design and campaign.

Utilising dead-stock denim to re-work and bring value to high-quality materials otherwise destined for landfill, the aim of 'The Ripple Effect' was to highlight LaundRe's sustainable water practices and advanced laser re-finishing technology, while providing a sustainable canvas on which to produce SAMEK's first-ever clothing capsule.

The LaundRe partnership is what sowed the seeds for INERTIA. Read the full story behind the collection.

HERO LEGAL x PRESSING MATTERS

2026

Hero Legal is a boutique legal practice purpose-built for creative talent. From freelance creatives to established brands, start-ups and entrepreneurs, Hero Legal serves to protect the commercial and legal interests of clients across creative industries. Partnering with SAMEK to develop custom branded merchandise brought another dimension to their business by allowing supporters to wear their values.

When first approached with the ‘Call My Lawyer’ concept, it was a strong idea that needed creative refinement and practical application. For a small business wanting to explore print as a medium, the digital heat transfer method provided a low-cost way of experimenting with different size and colour variants before full-scale production of the final concept.

For this reason, PRESSING MATTERS was created – to help develop concepts through small runs and well thought-out design, with an emphasis on quality representation, especially for those venturing into merchandise for the first time.
